I am currently working with a leading algorithmic trading house based in London. They are looking to build out into new markets including equities and FX. This particular job will involve interaction with the quants/traders and involve designing and developing a large trading system from scratch. • Commercial product & consumer-oriented website application design and development
• Following the Agile web development practices and best practices in software development
• Preparing functional and technical specifications in collaboration with the Project Owner. Also participate in software architecture
• Working on innovative and challenging modules & tasks and also helping team members with the same
• Participating in team meetings when appropriate and be able to discuss technical issues in a clear and positive way to non-technical audiences

Essential requirements:

• Hands on experience and outstanding knowledge of Scala
• Functional programming experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar area of study is preferred. MCA, BE/B.TECH, PGDCA, Msc IT are also preferred
• Ability to follow best TDD and BDD practices
• Strong object oriented design skills
• Enjoys solving challenging problems
• Can creatively evaluate test scenarios and product usage

• Experience with AJAX ,Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with postgres
• Ruby on Rails experience a plus
