I am currently working with a leading algorithmic trading house based in London. They are looking to build out into new markets including equities and FX. This particular job will involve interaction with the quants/traders and involve designing and developing a large trading system from scratch. The successful candidate will need to extensive Java development experience covering J2SE with some understanding of Scala, you will also need experience with the following FIX, SQL, Sybase and Front or Middle Office experience from a hedge fund or Investment Bank. Ltd., Bangalore center is looking for talented Senior Web Developer with a history of commercial product &amp; consumer-oriented web application design and high-end development and exposure to the full project life cycle. Candidate having a clear understanding of the Agile software development cycle and latest web standards would be preferred. Successful candidate should be also a very ardent follower of TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) based software development.<br />

Responsibilities:<br />
•	Commercial product &amp; consumer-oriented website application design and development <br />
•	Following the Agile web development practices and best practices in software development<br />
•	Preparing functional and technical specifications in collaboration with the Project Owner. Also participate in software architecture<br />
•	Working on innovative and challenging modules &amp; tasks and also helping team members with the same<br />
•	Participating in team meetings when appropriate and be able to discuss technical issues in a clear and positive way to non-technical audiences<br />
•	Providing technical leadership to the team and working to help improve the development practices &amp; standard of the team<br />
•	Keeping fully abreast of latest thinking in all areas of web development with specific emphasis on Scala and related technologies<br />
•	Strong quality orientation<br />
•	Adept at unit testing, can creatively evaluate test scenarios and product usage<br />
•	Strong work ethic<br />
•	Enjoys solving challenging problems<br />
•	Organized and detail-oriented personality<br />
<br />
Essential requirements:<br />
<br />
•	Hands on experience and outstanding knowledge of Scala<br />
•	Functional programming experience<br />
•	Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar area of study is preferred. MCA, BE/B.TECH, PGDCA, Msc IT are also preferred<br />
•	Ability to follow best TDD and BDD practices<br />
•	Strong object oriented design skills<br />
•	Enjoys solving challenging problems<br />
•	Can creatively evaluate test scenarios and product usage<br />
•	Organized and detail-oriented personality<br />
•	Experience with AJAX ,Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS<br />
<br />
Nice-to-have:<br />
<br />
•	Experience with postgres<br />
•	Ruby on Rails experience a plus<br />
•	Experience with SOAP<br />
